Dr. Courtney Harvey
Dr. Courtney Harvey serves through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission’s Behavioral Health Services Department and leads the Office of Mental Health Coordination (OMHC). OMHC works to enhance behavioral health awareness, policy, and services through multi-system collaboration. Dr. Harvey oversees veterans’ mental health services, suicide prevention policy and services, child and adult-focused trainings and community collaboratives, and liaises to behavioral health advisory committees.
Dr. Harvey also serves as the Mental Health Statewide Coordinator and Chair of the Statewide Behavioral Health Coordinating Council (SBHCC). The SBHCC was established to ensure a strategic statewide approach to behavioral health services and is comprised of representatives of state agencies, institutions of higher education, and judicial serving organizations that receive state funds for behavioral health training and services.
